In an ironic twist servers crash at Business 2.0
The New York Times ran a story today about tech-magazine Business 2.0’s recent systems crash. Additionally, their backup server hadn’t been kept up and failed to do its job. That is no big deal in and of itself. However, the publication is apparently notorious for looking down its nose at other businesses that end up in their list of “101 Dumbest Moments in Business.” Sounds like we now have entry 102.
In the end, Business 2.0 was able to dodge a bullet and recover their editorial work from emails. The Time Inc. company, a division of TIme Warner, now has off-site backup.
